World Economic Forum, Davos, 2016 January 20-23
As before, online rather than in person this time, I’ll attend this meeting in Davos. Approximately 3500 members guarded by 8000 Swiss security will triple the usual population of what used to be a quiet village when I first visited from nearby Weesen when I lived there. This year there will be ever more extensive online coverage: start with www.weforum.org, go to your facebook and twitter addresses for either world economic forum or wef. There are frequent tweets, most including Periscope pics or video. Over 100 of the 300 session will be recorded live and immediately archived.
This year the guiding topic is the Fourth Industrial Revolution, mainly technology. But financial turmoil may overturn the agenda as has happened before.
