Capstone has just now distributed the books in the UK and in the US (see below for my original intro to the project). Distribution looks stronger in the UK than here. Although both can stand alone in the publisher's Ultimate series, they were written together by the same team, have the same organization, share a publication date and serve complementary purposes. I plan a presentation package of both as autographed copies in a slipcase for special friends.

Since the slipcase version may be some weeks away, you can obtain copies now at a number of retail booksellers and, of course, at a large discount from e-tailing suppliers like Amazon.com.

This is Dean's original introduction to the project.

Romesh Vaitilingam and I are writing "The Ultimate Investor" for Capstone Publishing Limited (UK). We are discussing about 30 major investor ideas and tying them to the leading people associated with them, often friends. One of the recurring themes is how the ideas and personalities are interconnected. Another is that no matter how good the idea and no matter how prominent the proponent, what makes a market is the other side. And occasionally we shall have comment by the investors.

Drafts will appear here for your reading enjoyment and, we hope, enlightenment. You will note they will change in time because you are reading drafts. And we hope you will contribute by telling us how we can improve them by clicking the email link liberally sprinkled throughout.

In addition we are writing a companion quotation volume, "Ultimate Book of Investment Quotations." A few of the quotations we are using will be found here as well.

More information, from time to time, will appear on the Capstone site as well as other volumes in the Ultimate series and their other works (including "Emperor's Nightingale" by Bob Monks, one of the people with ultimate investor ideas described in our book.).
