This page offers descriptions and links to the main content areas of the site. The following features are available:

Views is a daily one minute (or more) video spot where I can elaborate a bit on things I've written about in light of current events.
Video Coverage from Conventions, Conferences and Workshops
Conference organizers, the alert ones anyway, are putting some of their content online. They extend their coverage by multiples and reinforce the insights of the human attendees. I shall post here some of the virtual meetings I found most helpful to me. And add, from time to time, some tips for organizers who would like to increase their own use of the new media.
Two Lakes is a "live" (updated every half-hour during daylight hours) webcam, presenting views from the two lakes where I live:  Sunapee in New Hampshire, and Walensee in Switzerland. I hope you will enjoy watching the changing moods of these beautiful places. Links to area information and local weather forecasts are also available here.
Worthy Charities
In this space are the links to and perhaps a description of some interests I help support through The LeBaron Foundation. You are encouraged to look at them and consider whether they deserve your support, as well . . . they would benefit greatly.
Family Photo Album is a collection of "baby pictures", etc., which might amuse some of you.
Futurebytes is an open forum for various writings and new "thoughts while not shaving". Here you'll find "Dean's Snippets Notepad" - a collection of small pearls of market wisdom - or nonsense. You decide...  Also included here are longer articles and transcripts of recent speeches.
Useful Links is a brief listing of some of the sites I've recently visited and found useful.
Books:

The Ultimate Investor - The People and Ideas that Make Modern Investment (by Dean LeBaron and Romesh Vaitilingam).

Marx to Market is a full-length book (with photos) giving my personal account of market transformations in Russia and China. It is an updated and enhanced edition of "Climbing Falling Walls", which was originally put on the web over five years ago.

It is the chronicle of my experiences as one of the early institutional investors in the Soviet Union, later FSU, and China (PRC). This edition is updated with new text although honesty and respect for history demanded that the original events and forecasts remain. But there is a new concluding chapter. Most important, the text is filled with pictures of the people who did them with me. These color pictures add to the experience of reading the text. (Because of the size of the files, we shall serialize linking to one chapter each week and continue the series as long as interest seems to be present. Furthermore, we will make the book available to one of the publishers to print on paper.)

Ins and Outs of Institutional Investing is an online version of my 1976 book -  my personal account of institutional management 25 years ago.
