Video Coverage from Conventions, Conferences and WorkshopsConference organizers, the alert ones anyway, are putting some of their content online. They extend their coverage by multiples and reinforce the insights of the human attendees. I shall post here some of the virtual meetings I found most helpful to me. And add, from time to time, some tips for organizers who would like to increase their own use of the new media.

Contrary Opinion Forum This group meets in the fall of each year to explore contrary ideas that might be profitable in markets. It is a mixture of individual investors and professionals. 28 July 2000 I did a webcast for the Association of Investment Management & Research at its annual convention in Chicago in May. The topic was the use of the internet for investment management; the same topic covered in an AIMR webcast from Switzerland about two years ago as its first venture into webcasting. Not only is there a lot of new content to cover in this presentation but it is a showcase of how effective AIMR has become in using this educational medium. It is 15 minutes long and I encourage you to see at least part to understand what can be done with new tools by investment managers and educators.
