Two Lakes

A new pan-tilt webcam was set up by Chris Gmuer in Switzerland and organized on the lake by Jim Bradley. The cam location is on the east shore of Lake Sunapee (New Hampshire....USA) looking west. You can pan/tilt/zoom and turn on the fish eye for a wide view of the lake. Enjoy!

[NOTE: This webcam will not work on a Mac and must be viewed using Internet Explorer. Also you must change the security settings in Internet Explorer, to allow for the Unsigned ActiveX to be installed. This is done in Internet Explorer by going to Tools, Internet Options, Click on the Security Tab, select Internet, select Custom Level, Scroll down to, “Download unsigned ActiveX controls” then select Prompt, then hit OK, click Yes, for changing the settings, then hit OK.]

Weesen Cam (click on image for "thumbnail" page) September 2009 - Chris Gmuer has upgraded the Weesen cam to one we hope will withstand the prevailing winds and moisture across the lake. Since the quality is so sharp (in daylight hours) we have had to limit the scenes to eight of the most common since you would otherwise be able to recognize faces in violation of the Swiss sense of privacy. I am in both New Hampshire and Switzerland, beside two lakes, similar in many respects, very different in others. The Swiss mountains are ten times higher and the lake is ten times deeper. But Sunapee, with its islands, coves and lighthouses has charm and protection that you can't capture in the fjord-like Walensee. These pictures are updated every half hour during daylight hours, and will hopefully give you and me some idea of the changing moods of these two beautiful lakes.
