My friends and family and I are all enjoying the new format on your Sunapee webcam. I’m surprised to see so few people or sailcraft or snowmobiles out on the ice. Is the ice still not safe?

I have so enjoyed this webcam, after a long day of working I watch the sunsets and the whole world goes away! Some nights they are so breathtaking I am wishing that I was standing there to enjoy them personally. Thank you so much for this…I can travel and not even leave my desk….
Peace
Lucy

Thank you again for this wonderful experience! You bring Sunapee close to us even when we can’t BE there. I actually saw two guys walking off towards your place after ice fishing! What a joy! Thanks so much!!
PS: Love the new format!!

Thanks for taking the initiative to place a webcam facing the West and most importantly, the weather. I’m the sailor you see (Flying Scot 5088) tacking “here and there” off your shore in the late afternoon. I live 6 miles away in South Newbury and keep my sail boat at the Landing Boat Club in Blodgetts. Your web cam gives me the glimpse needed to determine suitability for sailing.
Now if there was a flag in the frame, I’d have wind speed and direction?
Thanks,
hgs

Hi Harry!
You can get a fairly good idea of wind direction and speed at http://sunacom.com/weather_rapidfire.html
